Persona 4 Remake Possibly Leaked

A Persona 4 remake could be on the way, at least if a recent domain registration that was found by fans is to be believed.

What do we know about a potential Persona 4 remake?

YouTuber Faz recently took to X to share that a domain for “p4re.jp,” a Japanese website presumably linking to a Persona 4 remake, was recently registered.

While this is more loose evidence on its own, Faz also noted that several years ago, a domain titled “p3re.jp” was registered just a handful of months before the official announcement of Persona 3 Reload, a remake of the third Persona game.

With Atlus having already remade Persona 3, fans were quick to imagine that the domain registry pointed to the company preparing for another remake on the horizon. With summer and the traditional gaming shows that accompany it just a few months away, the Persona community was quick to theorize about whether or not Atlus could be gearing up to announce the remake sometime soon.

Originally released in 2008, Persona 4 is chronologically the fifth game in the Persona series, and was released for the PlayStation 2. Although not technically a remake, Atlus did release an “enhanced” version of the game, titled Persona 4 Golden, in 2012, exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.

That game was eventually ported to modern consoles, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in the 2020s.
