“Fallout” Renewed For A Third Season

Amazon Prime Video has handed out an early third season renewal of its acclaimed game-to-TV series adaptation “Fallout”. The order comes not long after the show’s second season wrapped production the other week.

In equally good news, the streamer has confirmed that the second season is premiering slightly earlier than expected. It was thought the second season would be held until early 2026, but Amazon has confirmed the plan is to premiere it this December.

Amazon announced the early pickup at its upfront presentation Monday, with series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins all appearing on stage to show off the already completed season two premiere.

The news comes as Moten, who plays Maximus in the series, recently appeared at the Liverpool Comic-Con and suggested (via Collider that the show could go for up to five or six seasons:

“When I signed on to do the series, [that] we would have a starting point, and they gave me the end point. That endpoint hasn’t changed, but it is, Season 5, Season 6, type of endpoint. We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.”

The first season pulled in 65 million views worldwide over its first 16 days of release and has since passed the 100 million view mark – putting it in the top three of all Prime Video series to date.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are co-showrunners on the series.
