New US Teaser for Joe Wright's 'Mussolini: Son of the Century' Series

"The world as we know it is no longer working." Mubi has revealed their teaser trailer for the series now titled Mussolini: Son of the Century in English, originally listed as M. Son of the Century (aka M: Il figlio del secolo in Italian) when it first premiered. We've been tracking this since it popped up at the 2024 Venice Film Festival last year as one of their series premieres. Mubi will be debuting the series streaming in the US (and Latin America, Turkey, India, Canada) later in 2025. Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Antonio Scurati, winner of the Premio Strega. Featuring a techno soundtrack by Tom Rowlands, part of The Chemical Brothers. "You can play with the aesthetics and the form of the piece... And the aesthetics are a kind of mashup between '90s rave culture and Man with a Movie Camera [1929 seminal avant-garde doc], a great Ukrainian film. It's Man with a Movie Camera and every gangster movie you've ever seen," Wright explained last year.
