JTI names Hadi Sleiman as Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications GTR
Sleiman steps up from a Middle East regional role to take on the new challenge with the Winston, Camel and Mevius cigarettes brands owner.

Japan Tobacco International (JTI), the company behind global cigarette brands Winston, Camel and Mevius, has announced the appointment of Hadi Sleiman as Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) for its Global Travel Retail division, effective 1 May 2025.
Sleiman joined the company in 2013 to lead CA&C in Sudan. He later assumed wider responsibility for the Middle East region in 2017.
Since 2022, he has headed JTI’s CA&C function for both the Middle East and the Global Shisha Cluster, based in Dubai.
Sleiman succeeds Antonio Vencesla, who held the GTR CA&C role from 2021 to 2024.
Vencesla has taken on a new role as Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications for JTI’s Romania-Moldova-Bulgaria Cluster, based in Bucharest.
Sleiman said, “I’m honoured to take on this new role and represent JTI in such a dynamic and globally connected channel. I look forward to working closely with our internal teams and industry stakeholders to ensure our voice is heard on the key issues that shape the future of travel retail.”
