ACI seeks entries for ‘best available innovation at an airport’ ahead of 2025 showcase in Busan
Ten standout entries will earn a spot in Busan to present their pioneering solutions to a global audience.

SOUTH KOREA. Airports Council International (ACI) has opened submissions for its World Business Partner (WBP) Airport Innovation Showcase, set to take place during the Airports Innovate event from 25-27 November in Busan, South Korea.
Themed ‘Best Available Innovation at an Airport’, this showcase invites pioneering solutions already piloted or fully operational in airports. Ten outstanding innovations will earn the opportunity to be presented at the Busan event, with each awarded two complimentary event passes.
Open to all ACI World Business Partners, the competition also welcomes submissions from innovators beyond the network. Selected non-member finalists will be required to join the ACI WBP community to participate in the final presentation in Busan.
To be considered, entries must meet the following criteria:
- Clarity of vision: Is the innovation’s impact clearly and concisely presented?
- Meaningful impact: How significantly does it improve the airport experience or operational efficiency?
- True originality: What makes this idea stand apart?
- Ease of integration: How readily can it be adopted and scaled?
- Intelligent investment: What is the value proposition and potential return?
Entries must be emailed to wbp2025@aci.aero no later than 11:59pm (Eastern time) on 30 June. To be eligible, the innovation must either already be in operation or under implementation at an airport by the end of 2026.
Participants may submit only one entry, with a maximum of 1,000 words, without photos or videos. By submitting, the World Business Partner grants ACI permission to use the entry for promotional purposes, as all submissions become ACI’s property.
ACI reserves the right to reject any entry that fails to meet the specified criteria or provides incomplete information.
