Underrated PS5 Exclusive Gets Surprise Free Content Update

A 2024 PS5 console exclusive survival game is getting its fourth free content update, taking players by surprise with its robust post-launch support. Ironwood Studios’ Pacific Drive will get the Endless Expeditions patch soon, bringing with it new maps, tools, and more.

The Endless Expeditions update will launch on April 3rd. Alongside new maps, it’ll come with new spawning systems and “improved” tools. In addition to this, Ironwood Studios is adding the highly-requested Suspend Run feature, which will allow players to suspend a trip and return without losing progress.

Last but not least, Endless Expeditions will add new cosmetic rewards for the player’s garage alongside over an hour of new music on the radio, and even more lore in the fax machine. “Truly, this is our biggest and best update yet,” Ironwood Studios wrote.

“Set off from the garage on new continuous drives — Expeditions. Dangerous and filled with their own unique rewards, these challenging trips will test even the most seasoned breacher,” reads an official overview of the update.

Pacific Drive is available on the PS5 and PC. The game released to generally positive reviews, and holds a Metacritic score of 77/100 for its PS5 version.

PS Plus Premium members can stream Pacific Drive on the PS5.
