NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Park Lane New York, a Highgate-managed hotel located on Billionaire’s Row, announces the appointment of Christopher Nez as Director of Food & Beverage. Nez brings over twenty years of hospitality experience to his new role, which he will draw from to continue Park Lane New York’s commitment to high standards of service. Nez will oversee the property’s three distinctive dining concepts: Calvert’s, the hotel’s elegant second-floor restaurant which opened in July 2024; Rose Lane, the light-filled and open lobby bar and restaurant; and Darling, the intimate and iconic rooftop lounge situated atop the property.
Most recently serving as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage for Highgate Hotels, Nez oversaw operations at both the WestHouse Hotel New York and Park Central Hotel New York, where he demonstrated impeccable leadership skills and a proven track record of success. His impressive career includes pivotal roles at prestigious New York City establishments, including The Plaza Hotel, JW Marriott Essex House, and The London NYC. Nez’s experience spans all aspects of food and beverage operations, from fine dining and banquets to in-room dining and event management. Recognized as Leader of the Year in 2018 for his outstanding performance at The Plaza Hotel, Nez is known for his ability to drive revenue and cultivate high-performing teams. His expertise in guest relations positions him perfectly to craft memorable moments for guests as Director of Food & Beverage.
Nez’s appointment comes less than a year after the property debuted Calvert’s, an elegant yet unpretentious dining destination for locals, visitors, and hotel guests alike. A nod to the co-designer of Central Park, Calvert Vaux, Calvert’s thoughtfully integrates elements that underscore the hotel’s enduring relationship with its iconic green neighbor. Located on the property’s second floor, Calvert’s is the crowning gem of the property’s food and beverage program. Both the restaurant’s debut and Nez’s appointment are testimony to the property’s standing as one of the premier dining and imbibing destinations in Manhattan.
“We are thrilled to welcome Christopher Nez to the Executive Team at Park Lane New York,” said Niles Harris, Managing Director & Vice President of Operations at the property. “I look forward to seeing his innovative approach to culinary and service excellence elevate our dining outlets and strengthen the hotel’s position as a premier destination for exceptional food and beverage offerings.”
