Atlus Shared More Raidou Remastered Details
After the reveal of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army during the latest March 2025 Nintendo Direct, Atlus shared new details about the game in a new spotlight video. The “The Return of Raidou Kuzunoha” showcase is 22 minutes long and is now available in English. The spotlight video starts by introducing the origins of the game as a PS2 title released in 2006. Back then, it was originally titled Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soulless Army. The game is a departure from Atlus’ more traditional turn-based RPGs due to being an action-RPG in which the player controls protagonist Raidou, who has the ability to summon Demons to fight alongside him. In combat, the demons battle automatically, and Raidou can issue orders to them in and out of combat to solve a variety of detective cases. While Raidou Remastered is an update of the first game in the series, Atlus revealed that combat in this game will be based on the second title in the series, Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. As such, it will feature plenty of changes. For example, Raidou will be able to summon two Demons during combat. Aside from a graphical update, Atlus announced plenty of UI changes to make the game more readable during combat. Additionally, new Demons that appeared on titles such as Shin Megami Tensei V and other modern Atlus games will appear and players will be able to fuse or recruit them. Raidou will now be able to learn his own skills that exploit enemy weaknesses. Some other changes include fast travel, difficulty settings, auto-save functions, and more.
