Leonardo DiCaprio‘s new movie One Battle After Another has received its first official trailer. You can watch it above.
The upcoming film, which is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, marks DiCaprio’s first starring role since 2023’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese‘s historical drama which was nominated for 10 Oscars.
The exact plot details for One Battle After Another are still currently unknown, but the story is expected to be somewhat inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s classic novel Vineland.
From the trailer, we learn that DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, a scatty, disheveled revolutionary who’s trying to save his daughter. It begins with Bob, dressed in a beanie and bathrobe, using a payphone to request help from some unknown rebels but forgetting which codewords to use.
Benicia del Toro also stars in the film as Bob’s mentor, who tells him to live without fear – before pushing him out of a speeding car. The trailer ends with DiCaprio screaming “Viva la revolución” as he and del Toro prepare to take on their enemies.
Set to be released in cinemas on September 25, the film also stars Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti.
The trailer has been well received on social media, with many fans expressing their excitement.
