GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – IHG Hotels & Resorts announce the appointment of Yann Gillet as Area General Manager for Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. A respected hospitality leader with over 25 years of global experience, Gillet is known for his strategic vision, guest-centric leadership, and ability to elevate luxury properties worldwide.

Gillet joins IHG Hotels & Resorts from One&Only Aesthesis on the Athens Riviera, where he played an integral role in shaping the resort’s ultra-luxury positioning. Prior to that, he led the iconic Hotel Martinez in Cannes, enhancing its Riviera-lifestyle allure and strengthening its reputation as a premier European destination. His distinguished career also includes leadership roles at Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Park Hyatt Chennai, Park Hyatt Johannesburg, and Hyatt Regency Casablanca, where he successfully implemented strategic growth initiatives, navigated complex market conditions, and introduced transformative guest experiences.

As he steps into his new role overseeing Grand Cayman’s most sought-after resorts, Gillet will lead operations at both Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, ensuring each continues to push boundaries in luxury, lifestyle, and guest experiences.

Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, one of Grand Cayman’s few 10-star Forbes properties, continues to raise the bar in Caribbean luxury. In 2025 the resort earned the prestigious Forbes Five-Star designation for both the property and the SPA at Seafire for the second consecutive year. Seafire is widely celebrated for its exceptional service, beachfront setting, and innovative guest experiences, including its acclaimed Library by the Sea, a literary-inspired cocktail lounge. An avid runner and triathlete, he enjoys outdoor adventures with his Beagle and is relocating to Grand Cayman with his wife, Lucile, as they embrace island life.
