Taito announced that Materia orb keychains based on the items from Final Fantasy XIV will appear as arcade game prizes in Japan from March 28, 2025. There are five different colors available for the Materia keychains and they are red, purple, blue, green, and yellow. In FFXIV, Materia is a type of item that can be attached to gear in order to upgrade and increase its stats. It is named and based after the Materia mechanic first introduced in the franchise with Final Fantasy VII. The new Materia keychains are shaped like an orb with a metallic filigree wrapped around it.
