“Line of Duty” Season 7 To Shoot In January?

Late last year came the news that the BBC’s acclaimed police thriller series “Line of Duty” may finally be getting a seventh season.

At time it was said the show’s trio of key stars – Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston – had all met with creator Jed Mercurio. That meeting was to sort out a deal and filming dates for a potential seventh season with the group working out schedules.

Seems they reached a consensus with The Sun reporting that all four have committed to return for a seventh series with the aim being to start filming in January 2026.

The trade indicates it took several meetings and scheduling adjustments but all have “finally managed to clear space in their calendars next year to commit to making the show.”

The hit drama launched in 2012 and quickly grew into a massive ratings juggernaut in the UK with the sixth season in 2021 pulling in huge overnight ratings and averaging 13.67 million viewers per episode across the season in the UK.

The finale, in which the ‘Fourth Man’ of the corrupt group ‘H’ was revealed, was the highest-rated UK drama since records began in 2002. Internationally the series is available on Netflix.
