SSP Germany reveals three-venue food court featuring Bavarian concept at Frankfurt Airport

GERMANY. SSP Germany has opened a new 1,000sq m food court featuring three food & beverage brands at Frankfurt Airport. It is located in the Departures Area B Non-Schengen Mezzanine Level.

The space – which offers an extensive shared seating area – is occupied by proprietary kitchen and bar concept Anton & Anni, as well as popular international franchise brands Burger King and Starbucks.

Anton & Anni, which brings travellers a modern take on German-Bavarian cuisine, has an offer ranging from traditional white sausage breakfasts to roasted pork knuckles and cheese spaetzle.

The dining area’s digital features include ‘order at the table’ systems for Anton & Anni and self-order terminals at Burger King.

A taste of Bavaria: SSP’s local kitchen and bar concept Anton & Anni offers a wide choice of food & beverage options

Large windows to the rear of the food court provide guests with exclusive views of the Frankfurt Airport airfield.

The food court’s grand opening was celebrated with representatives from the airport, neighbouring businesses, suppliers, partners and the local media.

SSP DACH Managing Director Oliver Haub commented, “The food court was designed to offer an ideal mix of local flair and internationally recognised brands that cater to the needs of travellers at Frankfurt Airport. All three outlets are tailored to the specific requirements of the mezzanine level and its guests.

“Our ongoing commitment to environmentally conscious practices is reflected in the high-quality construction standards, with a strong focus on quality, innovation and sustainability across more than 1,000sq m of space.”

Fraport Board Member Retail and Real Estate Anke Giesen said, “The food court in Departures Area B has always been one of our main attractions – our passengers love the unique view and enjoy spending time here. We are very pleased that, together with our experienced partner SSP, we were able to create a wonderful new atmosphere at this central location.

“Here, a modern interpretation of German cosiness meets international flair. The concepts are perfectly aligned with the needs of customers in this international passenger area.

“The elaborate interior design, crafted with great attention to detail, completes a first-class culinary experience that reflects our high standards.” ‍
