This year alone, LATAM plans to open the lounge at Lima’s Jorge Chávez Airport, with an investment of US$10.5 million, and is designing a new space in São Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport, with an investment of US$18 million and an expected opening in 2027.

Additionally, in late February, LATAM began remodeling its lounge at El Dorado International Airport and, in the coming years, plans to expand the lounge at Miami International Airport (USA).

“These new infrastructures reinforce our commitment to offer more sophisticated and welcoming spaces. They will align with the one already in operation in Santiago since 2022, featuring modern and comfortable areas inspired by South American architecture, culture, hospitality, and national elements,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.

He added that LATAM Lounges are already globally recognized for their innovative design, service, and exceptional comfort. “This is another step toward positioning LATAM as a global benchmark in premium travel experience,” he concluded.

The new lounge in Peru, set to open in the coming months, will feature two independent spaces — Signature and Premium — sharing a reception area and covering 2,450 square meters. It is expected to serve over 24,000 passengers per month by 2026.

Meanwhile, LATAM Airlines Brazil will begin designing its new lounge this year in Terminal 3 of Guarulhos Airport, one of its main hubs in the region. The lounge will span 4,700 square meters, making it the largest in Latin America, surpassing the lounge in Chile.

In Colombia, the airline is progressing with the renovation of its lounge to offer a more comfortable experience starting in May. The upgraded lounge will feature 136 seats and a total area of 650 square meters, with an investment of US$500,000.

The Santiago lounge, meanwhile, features three sections: the Signature Lounge, for LATAM Pass members in the Black Signature and Black categories and for Premium Business passengers; the Premium Lounge, for LATAM Pass Platinum members or passengers traveling in LATAM’s Premium Economy cabin; and the WorldMember Lounge, for Santander WorldMember and WorldMember Limited clients.. An average of 1,500 people pass through it daily, making it the largest lounge in South America to date.

It is worth noting that LATAM currently operates international lounges in five of its network airports: Santiago (Chile), at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport; São Paulo (Brazil), at Guarulhos Airport, Terminal 3; Bogotá (Colombia), at El Dorado Airport; Buenos Aires (Argentina), at Ezeiza Airport; and Miami (USA), at Concourse J.

Signature Check-in

Additionally, and in line with its commitment to offering spaces that elevate every journey, LATAM has recently introduced a dedicated area for frequent flyer check-in: the Signature Check-in. This is an exclusive space for LATAM Pass members in the Black Signature and Black categories (the highest loyalty levels of the program), designed to provide greater privacy, efficiency, and hospitality for elite members traveling to international destinations.

Rotation

The Signature check-in, available 24 hours a day and complementing another similar facility already operating at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, Brazil, is located in Terminal 2 of Santiago Airport, in front of Gate 6, next to Premium Check-in (Island H). It features tablets and portable printers that allow for a faster and simpler check-in process. With the opening of the new terminal at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport, LATAM will also offer this exclusive space there.

This space aims to enhance the passenger experience at Santiago Airport, where LATAM operates more than 104 daily flights to 14 different countries.
