Guy Ritchie in Talks to Direct Jake Gyllenhaal in Sequel ROAD HOUSE 2
Director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, The Gentlemen) is reportedly in talks to helm the sequel Road House 2, featuring the return of Jake Gyllenhaal as Dalton, the role originated by Patrick Swayze in the 1989 film of the same name. The 2024 remake from director Doug Liman was divisive, but ultimately ruled a good time by movie goers. Matthew Belloni now reports in his Puck newsletter that Ritchie could replace Liman as the director of Road House 2. The filmmaker, who previously directed Jake Gyllenhaal in Guy Ritchie's The Covenant (2023) as well as upcoming action film In the Grey, is said to still be in negotiations. Belloni also notes that, though there's no confirmation on this, the sequel could get a theatrical release after the first one was released directly onto Prime Video.Would you be excited to see Ritchie direct this sequel?
