Jaume Collet-Serra to Helm Netflix Psychological Thriller ‘An Innocent Girl’

Netflix is reteaming with Carry-On director Jaume Collet-Serra on new psychological thriller An Innocent Girl, Variety reports today.

Immaculate director Michael Mohan penned the script, with current revisions by Marc Guggenheim (Tollhunters: Rise of the Titans, “Carnival Row”).

The official logline for An Innocent Girl reads, “When a young and ambitious woman is seduced by a high powered D.C. couple, she’s drawn into a dangerous world of sex, power and murder.”

No additional plot details or casting has been revealed at this time.

The reunion between Netflix and Collet-Serra should likely come as no surprise, as Carry-On was touted by the streamer to be the second-most watched film of all time with 172.1 million views. The thriller, set over Christmas at LAX, stars Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman.

Jaume Collet-Serra is keeping very busy lately. The filmmaker’s latest, The Woman in the Yard, is currently playing in theaters.  Upcoming survival thriller Play Dead, which is described as “Don’t Breathe meets 1917,” also has the filmmaker attached. As if that’s not enough, Collet-Serra is also attached to a new reimagining of action thriller Cliffhanger.

Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce An Innocent Girl for Berlanti /Schechter Films. Marc Guggenheim, Mike McGrath and Scott Greenberg serve as executive producers.
