From a statement shared on Blackmagic Design’s Facebook page, all we have to go off of is the following: “Most products in the USA have increased and please check our web site for details. DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic Cloud prices remain the same. It's also worth noting the price increases only affect the US and prices in other counties are currently unchanged.” So, that’s all we’ll report on for now. But rest assured, there will be more to this story and most likely more updates to come.Blackmagic PYXIS 12KIn all honesty, the price point for the PYXIS 12K already appeared almost too good to be true. Basically, it is the same camera as the URSA Cine 12K stuffed into the PYXIS body; the PYXIS 12K is still likely to be a powerful and popular cinema camera for solo shooters and small, indie film crews. This 12K upgrade to the PYXIS 6K model will feature a full-frame 36 x 24mm RGBW sensor up to 12288 x 8040 resolution, 16 stops dynamic range, and the choice of EF, PL, or L Mount. Blackmagic has also revealed that the PYXIS 12K will also be able to record Blackmagic RAW with proxies directly to dual CFexpress media recorders. Both the 6K and 12K PYXIS models will be able to record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and extremely small H.264 proxy files at the same time. Here are the full specs and the new price point for US markets.
