Today we have a Marvel producer on Ms. Marvel’s MCU future, plus Chris Pratt reiterates Starlord WILL return as promised. Let’s start with Pratt himself, A tag at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (added by Marvel, not director James Gunn) promised the legendary Starlord would return. Of course, Pratt’s not been confirmed for any MCU projects since. His name was also missing from the recently announced Avengers: Doomsday cast.
That could mean that Pratt just hasn’t closed a deal to return, or he’s being held back for Secret Wars. Speaking with Collider Pratt wouldn’t say where he will return, only that he will.
“I can’t say, for fans of mine, where they’ll see Star-Lord again, but I can tell them we made a promise at the end of [Guardians of the Galaxy] Vol. 3 that the legendary Star-Lord will return, and he will return,” the actor confirmed.
‘Pratt also shared his take on not getting a chair [in the Doomsday cast announcement] by saying, “I don’t know! I think it was, like, far off… They must have cut away from it. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know. It was there. I’m sure it was there.”‘
There’s also so far been no sign of where Ms. Marvel, nor Captain Marvel will return to the MCU. Speaking with TV Line, Daredevil: Born Again exec producer Sana Amanat would only say she hopes Kamala (Iman Vellani) will return.

“Oh God, I hope soon! She is beloved by all of us at Marvel, and we have been talking… Hopefully there will be plans soon, but it is very, very TBD. Hopefully [The Marvels] will not be the last we see of her.”
The real shocker would be if The Marvels actress Teyonah Parris didn’t feature in Doomsday. After all, we know there’s an incursion coming and the X-Men are all back. Therefore, given Monica is currently in their Universe, it would be weird for the movie to not feature her. By that logic it would be weird for Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel to not be around for Doomsday. Unless the Russos are once again going to use the excuse of having her absent when the events of Doomsday take place, just like they did in Infinity War?
My guess is that the next time we see Kamala it will be in the Champions series which is currently in development.
What do you think of their comments as Marvel producer Sana Amanat talks Ms. Marvel’s MCU future and Chris Pratt reiterates Starlord will return as promised? Thoughts below.
