Neil Young, Joan Baez, Jeff Rosenstock & more to join Bernie Sanders & AOC at LA rally
Bernie has a pretty stacked musical lineup for his Los Angeles rally, which happens during weekend one of Coachella.

Bernie Sanders has been traveling the country on his Fighting Oligarchy tour, holding rallies to speak against Trumpism. For much of that time he’s been in traditionally Red states, but he’s announced that he’ll head to Los Angeles next weekend (during weekend one of Coachella) for a rally at Gloria Molina Grand Park on Saturday, April 12. He’ll be joined by Democratic representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (who has been doing a lot of events with him recently), Pramila Jayapal and Ro Khanna, and friends from the labor movement. He’s also put together a pretty stacked musical lineup for the occasion, with Neil Young, Maggie Rogers, Joan Baez, and others. You can RSVP to attend.
UPDATE: Jeff Rosenstock shared an updated version of the poster that also lists him, Indigo De Souza, The Red Pears, and Raise Gospel Choir. “I AM HONORED AND THRILLED TO BE A PART OF THE FIGHT OLIGARCHY TOUR STOP IN LOS ANGELES SATURDAY APRIL 12TH WITH @BERNIESANDERS @AOC FREAKIN @NEILYOUNGARCHIVES (!!!!!!) @JOANCBAEZOFFICIAL AND MANY MORE A TRUE DREAM BLUNT ROTATION,” he writes. “All weed jokes aside, it has been easy to feel powerless and alone since the election and seeing the massive crowds of people who are also tired of this bullshit attending these events (cornball alert) has filled my heart with hope. I woulda been here anyway so like I said in CAPS LOCK above I am beyond honored to be a part of this playing some songs. SHOW UP EARLY AND WATCH ME TRY MY BEST LOL.”
“We are building the working class movement America needs,” Bernie writes. “I hope you’ll join us.”
The Armed (who covered The Stooges “Search and Destroy”) and Laura Jane Grace (who faced conservative backlash over her performance of “Your God (God’s Dick)”) both performed at Bernie’s rallies in March.
Neil Young recently posted to his Neil Young Archives site wondering if he’d be barred from re-entering the US after touring Europe. “If you say anything bad about Trump or his administration, you may be barred from re-entering USA if you are Canadian,” he wrote. “If you are a dual citizen like me, who knows? We’ll all find that out together.” Read his full post below.
