‘Nación Sazón’ – Lagardère spices up Lima Airport with a celebration of Peruvian flavours at its latest dining venue

A strong sense of place – The latest Aelia Duty Free outlet showcases an extensive product assortment within a setting inspired by Peruvian culture and aesthetics

Building on its successful entry into Peru with the launch of multiple Aelia Duty Free stores three years ago, the retailer is set to open a 4,000sq m Aelia Duty Free outlet, featuring an extensive offer of products across key categories.

Another highlight will be the launch of a 3,300sq m food hall under the brand ‘Nación Sazón’, meaning ‘The Land of Flavours’ or ‘The Land of Seasonings’ in Spanish.

As reported, the dining venue reflects the company’s aim to offer travellers a true sense of Peru’s vibrant gastronomic heritage, featuring local top chefs to offer world-famous dishes such as ceviche (cured fish platters), while also providing plenty of healthy grab-and-go, coffee and comfort food choices.

To leverage Peru’s culinary recognition on the international stage, Lagardère Travel Retail’s team in Latin America has forged key partnerships with some of South America’s top chefs. They include Mitsuharu Tsumaru, Chef at Maido, ranked sixth in the ‘50 Best World Restaurants’ list; and Jaime Pesaque, Chef at Mayta, ranked 47th in the ‘50 Best World Restaurants’ list.

The site during its construction phase – now fully built, the vibrant commercial space is nearing its official opening

Active commercial space in the new terminal spans around 27,000sq m, with 19,000sq m dedicated to retail, dining and other services, plus 8,000sq m to lounges. ‍
