NYCxDESIGN xSouvenir returns for its second year with a bold reimagining of the New York City keepsake. Running from 15–21 May 2025 at The Canvas 3.0 in the Oculus, this year’s exhibition features 73 collectible objects crafted by a diverse roster of designers, including Antenna Design, Michael Bambino, Joey Zeledón and Joanne Wu. Curated and designed by Boym Partners, presented in collaboration with COOL HUNTING and sponsored Kikkerland Design, the show transforms everyday NYC icons into thoughtful, often humorous, design statements.
Highlights include Annabelle Schneider’s trash bags candle that holds a secret golden surprise inside, a traffic cone-inspired noise machine by Blanca Codina and a table lamp modeled after a crosswalk sign by Lynn Lin. Steve Cozzolino’s polished steel pigeon nods to the Eames House Bird and Case Study House #8, with proceeds supporting wildfire relief efforts. Josh Owen’s Vignelli Token, referencing the iconic MTA subway token, is available in a numbered edition to benefit the Vignelli Center for Design Studies.
Open daily from 11am to 7pm (15–21 May 2025), xSouvenir invites visitors to explore and purchase a few of these unique pieces that capture the city’s essence through design. For more information, visit the official exhibition page.
