‘Never After Dark’ – Moeka Hoshi Stars in Japanese Supernatural Horror Movie

Fresh news out of the Cannes market this afternoon, with Variety reporting that XYZ Films has acquired worldwide sales rights – outside of Japan – for the film Never After Dark.

In the Japanese-language horror movie, “a medium travels deep into the Japanese countryside to perform a routine exorcism, forced to confront the most terrifying enemy of all: the living.”

Variety notes in today’s report, “Shot on location in the Japanese countryside, the film features production design and practical effects from some of Japan’s top craftsmen.”

Moeka Hoshi (“Shōgun”) stars in Never After Dark, directed by Dave Boyle (House of Ninjas). Check out a first look image from the upcoming movie above and expect more soon.

Never After Dark is expected to release theatrically in Japan next year.
