Fabulous Fridays: Share Your Hotel Amenity Photos (Mine – Hilton Diagonal Mar)

Remember when you could count on having a nice amenity, usually a bottle of wine and a cheese plate, waiting for you at almost any full-service hotel, anywhere?

Unfortunately, those times are long gone, but you still get nice amenities, especially in Asia. Hotels elsewhere sometimes positively surprise you as well.

The image above is from a Hilton Diagonal Mar that usually has a chocolate box and a bottle of cava waiting for lifetime Diamond members (not sure what Diamonds get).

They had this tapas plate delivered on the second day.

There was a note that this was my, at least, 15^th stay at the property, and it also turned out to be my birthday. (I wasn’t really celebrating.)

This is one of the few properties that has a separate welcome letter for lifetime Diamond members. Note that their space-available upgrades are to a rather lovely suite.

I am glad these nice amenities are still around, and even in Europe, at a hotel (Hilton Diagonal Mar) that is sometimes really busy with cruises and other groups.

When I first stayed at this property a decade or so ago, I really disliked the location, but that is no longer the case. I love taking a long walk to the city center by the beach, which takes roughly an hour and has plenty of options to sit down for eating and drinking purposes along the way.
