IHG One Rewards “Pick Your Points” Promotion For Stays May 20 – August 31, 2025

IHG has now launched its summer promotion, Pick Your Points, which is valid for stays between May 20 and August 31, 2025.

IHG One Rewards members who register for this offer can earn 2K bonus points for every 2 nights (1K bonus per night) or 8K bonus points for every 4 nights (2K bonus per night).

You must choose between earning 2,000 bonus points for every two nights or 8,000 bonus points for every four nights.

The latter offer is better IF you stay at least 4 paid nights during the offer period.

Note that only paid nights are eligible for the bonus. Award nights or Cash + Points reservations are not eligible.

Conclusion

This is a fairly typical bonus offer from IHG, and I am glad it is valid for the entire summer period.

You should choose the 8K bonus offer unless you are 100% sure you will have either 2 or 3 paid nights with IHG during the offer period.

Terms and Conditions of this promotion:

This promotional offer (the “Promotion”) gives IHG One Rewards members the opportunity to choose one of two different options for earning IHG One Rewards bonus points. To participate in the Promotion, a member must first register their member number for one of two available offers: (1) the “Earn 2,000 points every 2 nights” offer (the “2,000 Points Offer”); or (2) the “Earn 8,000 points every 4 nights” offer (the “8,000 Points Offer”). If a member has registered for the 2,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete two (2) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period (defined below). If a member registered for the 8,000 Points Offer, the member can earn 8,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete four (4) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period. A member can only register for one of these two Offers. Once a member has registered, the member is only eligible for that Offer and cannot register for the other Offer.

Members can pre-register for this Promotion starting on 6 May 2025 (the “Pre-Registration Period”). Members will be able to stay and earn IHG One Rewards bonus points under either the 2,000 Points Offer or the 8,000 Points Offer beginning on 20 May 2025 and ending on 31 August 2025 (the “Promotion Period”). Members who did not register for during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period. By registering for the Promotion, a member is accepting these Terms & Conditions.

To be a “Qualifying Room Night” under the Promotion, the room night must fall within the Promotion Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay. For purposes of this Promotion, a “Promotion-Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) room night stay, during the Promotion Period, at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate that is at least a total spend of $30 dollars (or local currency equivalent) per night. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay which was completed prior to registration for the Promotion are also not included. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for the purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion. If more than one member who registered for the Promotion checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to earn points under the Promotion for those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, the member will receive credit towards this Promotion for only one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of a Qualifying Room Night.

A member’s participation in the IHG One Rewards programme and this Promotion is subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, which can be obtained here or by visiting ihgonerewards.com. The bonus points awarded through this Promotion are not Elite status qualifying under the IHG One Rewards programme. The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to six weeks for the bonus points to be posted to the recipient’s member account. IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other partner hotels participating in the programme, with exceptions for the following brands:

Six Senses® Hotels Resorts Spas: IHG One Rewards points may be earned or redeemed for stays but other benefits may not be available. (Note some hotels do not participate in IHG One Rewards.)

IHG may withdraw points from a member’s account if they were deposited into the member’s account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s account if the member abuses the IHG One Rewards program, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process.
