Robert Glasper will reprise his artist-in-residence role at Blue Note Jazz Festival’s Black Radio Experience when it returns Aug. 29-31 to Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Ca. The event will also feature performances by the Roots and Questlove, Jazmine Sullivan, Hiatus Kaiyote, Slum Village, Lupe Fiasco, Terrace Martin, Willow, Warren G and Esperanza Spalding.

The festival is named after a series of Glasper studio albums and extends his close relationship with Blue Note, which already includes his Robtober annual October residency at the titular New York jazz club. Glasper will also host and perform at a separately ticketed Black Radio Experience opening dinner and concert on Aug. 28.

More from Spin:

“Black Radio Experience and Robtober are the platforms I use to bring all my favorite artists and collaborators together as one big family reunion and this year is no different,” he says. “I’m honored to be part of such an amazing community and bring that community back together for another dope weekend in Napa.”

Each night will conclude with after-parties steered by D-Nice, Questlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Bryan-Michael Cox, Talib Kweli and Jahi Sundance. Click here for tickets.

Blue Note is also assuming artistic control of the event formerly known as the Playboy Jazz Festival, which began in 1979 at the Hollywood Bowl. This year’s extravaganza, now renamed Blue Note Jazz Festival and set for June 14-15, will be led by Grace Jones, the Isley Brothers and De La Soul.
