During this year's Watches & Wonders, Ulysse Nardin has the Diver [AIR], which it states is the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch. Weighing in at 52 grams (including strap), this timepiece was created to be a statement in innovation, design and performance.The Diver [AIR] is built around the all-new UN-374 calibre, an ultralight, skeletonized movement weighing just 7 grams. It features hollowed-out bridges, a flying mainspring barrel and a balance wheel and escapement made from recycled silicon — all designed for minimal mass without sacrificing durability — withstanding shocks up to 5,000g.Encased in a 44mm modular construction combining 90 percent recycled titanium and carbon fibre, the Diver [AIR] embraces sustainability at its core. The side parts are crafted from Nylo-Foil, a lightweight composite made of upcycled fishing nets and carbon fibre from IMOCA racing yachts.
