The FX on Hulu series “The Bear” has reportedly set a June 15th premiere date for its fourth season which is said to be a much more upbeat season than some recent ones.
Created by Christopher Storer, the series stars Jeremy Allen White as an award-winning chef named Carmy Berzatto who returns home to Chicago to manage his deceased brother’s restaurant. Plot specifics of the fourth season are under wraps. [Source: FX]
Landman
Sam Elliott has been cast in the currently in production second season of Taylor Sheridan’s West Texas-set oil business drama “Landman” on the Paramount+ service. Elliott previously worked on Sheridan‘s acclaimed limited series “1883”.
Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore co-str in the new season. [Source: THR]
Wednesday
Anthony Michael Hall has joined the second season of Netflix’s “Wednesday” in an undisclosed role. Hall previously worked with series executive producer and director Tim Burton on his 1990 film “Edward Scissorhands”.
Hall joins a number of new talents in the cast, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor. The two parts of the new season will release on the streamer on August 6th and September 3rd. [Source: Variety]
Countdown
Amazon Prime Video has set a June 25th premiere date for the Derek Haas-created action series “Countdown” with a three-episode premiere on that date. Jensen Ackles and Eric Dane star in the series whose cast also includes Elliot Knight, Jessica Camacho, Violett Beane and Uli Latukefu.
In the series, an LAPD detective Mark Meachum () is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate the death of a Department of Homeland Security officer. The hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined.
