Anthony Michael Hall Reunites with Tim Burton on ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

Anthony Michael Hall has joined the second season of “Wednesday” in an undisclosed role, Variety has learned.

The casting marks a reunion between Hall and director/executive producer Tim Burton, who worked together 35 years ago on Edward Scissorhands.

“Wednesday” Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in two parts, with four episodes each on August 6 and September 3.

Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. She must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.

Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Jamie McShane, and Fred Armisen will return.

They’re joined by Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suatamo, and Lady Gaga.

Burton directed four of the new episodes, with Paco Cabezas (“The Umbrella Academy”) and Angela Robinson (Professor Marston & the Wonder Women) each helming two others.

Series creators Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (“Smallville”) are back as showruners.

Hall recently wrapped production on the horror-comedy Halloween Store.
