Mystery Promo Resolved: “Exclusive AAdvantage Million Miler™ offer: unlock new benefits”

Last week, I wrote about a new promotion that suddenly appeared on my AAdvantage account (read more here), which would allow me to either gift Platinum or choose to earn 50,000 bonus Loyalty Points by earning 75,000 by February 28, 2026.

It turns out that this is indeed a targeted offer, and an email from American Airlines just arrived in my email inbox, explaining the reason behind this: my 2 Million Miler status with the airline.

†However, if you choose the 50,000 Loyalty Point as your reward after February 28, 2026 at 8 p.m. CT, your 50,000 Loyalty Points will be applied to earning toward status for the 2026 qualification year, not to the 2025 qualification year. If you choose 50,000 Loyalty Points as your reward before February 28, 2026, your choice will be applied to the 2025 qualification year.

So, you can have these bonus Loyalty Points to count towards the status earning in the next membership year, IF you choose this option after 8 PM CT on February 28, 2026.

I wonder if AA has extended this same promotion also for lifetime Gold and Platinum Pro members, and what their offers might be?

I believe this is the first time I’ve received a promotion from AA based on my lifetime AAdvantage status, which I’ve held for over 10 years.

Terms and Conditions of this promotion:

• This is an exclusive offer for the intended recipient only and shall not be transferred or forwarded.
• You must register by 11:59 p.m. CT on May 23, 2025 in order for your activity to count towards this promotion.
• To receive the reward, earn the required number of Loyalty Points as specified in the promotion details of your offer.
• The rewards provided through this offer are for a single membership year only.
• Loyalty Points will be considered qualifying if the activity dates are between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026, regardless of the posting date.
• All eligible Loyalty Points earned between the above activity dates will count towards this promotion.

  • Loyalty Point Deposit

    • Accumulated Loyalty Points, including Loyalty Points chosen as a reward, reset to zero on March 1 each year.
