The teaser trailer for “Barbarian” director Zach Cregger’s “Weapons” has been released – bringing together bits of scant footage previously teased the other day.
The mystery unfolds in the small town of Maybrook. Seventeen children wake up and voluntarily walk out the front door of their homes at 2:17am one morning – inexplicably disappearing without a trace.
In the wake of this, the community looks for answers while struggling to comprehend what may have happened to them.
Josh Brolin and Julia Garner leads the cast which also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, Amy Madigan, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, June Diane Raphael and Toby Huss.
Warner Bros. Pictures launched a website promoting the film with a link on it suggesting the movie take place in the same universe as “Barbarian,” but it’s not clear if the film itself will have any direct connection.
“Weapons” will be released in U.S. cinemas on August 8th 2025.
