The 2025 Oscar Winners

This year’s Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, are now over with “Anora” dominating with five wins including Best Picture, Actress, Director, Original Screenplay and Editing.

Other multiple winners include “The Brutalist” with three wins for Actor, Cinematography and Score; while “Emilia Pérez” won two for supporting actress (Zoe Saldana) and song, “Wicked” won two for costume and production design, and “Dune: Part Two” won two for sound and VFX.

Single award winners included “Conclave” for adapted screenplay, “A Real Pain” for supporting actor, “Flow” for animated feature, “I’m Still Here” for international feature, “No Other Land” for documentary and “The Substance” for make-up.

Going home empty-handed were “A Complete Unknown,” “The Wild Robot,” “Nickel Boys,” “Sing Sing,” “September 5,” “Nosferatu,” and “Maria”.

The ceremony will skip the usual performances of this year’s nominated songs, according to a letter sent out to Academy members. The changes are in honour of the city of Los Angeles amid the devastation caused by wildfires.

The 2025 Oscars is being televised live in more than 225 countries, including ABC in the United States, and is being simultaneously live-streamed on Hulu. Check out Conan’s sketch trying to get people back into cinemas below.
