“Avengers” Directors Deny Those Art Leaks

Recently the internet went a little crazy over apparent some concept art leaks from the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” films.

The leak seemingly came “from an artist who has worked on several MCU projects” but was listed as “Concept and Development Work (2022 – Early 2024)” – well before the current script came together so even if true, the art’s accuracy was decidedly questionable.

Now, “Avengers: Doomsday” directors Joe and Anthony Russo have addressed the recent leaks speaking with THR. The trade asked if fans should be worried about the concept art spoiling any plot points.

The pair straight up denied the art as being real, Joe saying: “That artwork was not from Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars”. Anthony added: “Nothing spoiling in there. That’s not our concept art.”

Story details of the new films are under wraps at this time even as rumors swirl wildly regarding the movies. To date, the only confirmed casting is Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom/Victor von Doom.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to begin filming next month in London ahead of a May 1st 2026 release.
