MADRID – Azores Airlines, a SATA Group company, has signed an interline ticketing agreement with Spanish airline Euroairlines, expanding its offering and global reach.

With this partnership, Azores Airlines will be able to access the ecosystem of travel agencies, OTAs, aggregators, and consolidators in more than 60 countries through the IATA Q4-291 license plate held by Euroairlines.

Azores Airlines is a Portuguese airline, part of the SATA Group, headquartered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, located in the autonomous archipelago of the Azores. It was founded with the aim of making the nine-island archipelago more accessible.

The company offers air connections for the transport of passengers, cargo, and mail. Azores Airlines currently connects the Azores archipelago with eight countries in Africa, Europe, and North America. Specifically, the airline flies to cities such as Milan, Paris, New York, Boston, and Toronto, among others.

The Portuguese company operates a fleet that includes Airbus A320ceo, A320neo, Airbus A321neo, and Airbus A321LR aircraft, which feature business and economy class seats.

“Azores Airlines has established itself as a leading airline in the North Atlantic region, and Euroairlines will provide additional distribution channels to further strengthen that position,” says Antonio López-Lázaro , CEO of the Euroairlines Group. “The airline is experiencing significant growth, and North America and the Atlantic are currently strategic areas for the Euroairlines Group,” adds Amanda Machado , Chief Customer Officer of the Euroairlines Group, who recently joined the company from Amadeus Brazil.

Sandro Raposo , SATA Group’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasizes that “this strengthened partnership with Euroairlines will boost Azores Airlines’ distribution capabilities by allowing us to access markets and customers that were previously unreachable. We anticipate that this increased awareness of our airline’s offering, which includes direct flights from major European cities to the Azores and convenient connections to North America, will drive further growth in passenger numbers,” he adds.
