DAVID BYRNE’S VARIETY SHOW
David Byrne is hosting the second annual benefit variety show for his publication Reasons to Be Cheerful. “Amazing Humans Doing Amazing Things” happens on May 29 at Town Hall, and will feature performances from Ramy Youssef, Reggie Watts, Annie and The Caldwells, Steve Cuiffo, Julie Atlas Muz, and Ziatne Uste Balkan Brass Band.
THING 2025
THING, the Port Townsend, WA festival from Sasquatch founder Adam Zacks, is happening as a series of shows over four Saturdays in August at Carnation, WA’s Renlinger Farms this year, including Father John Misty, Orville Peck, Deep Sea Diver, Jessica Pratt, Hamilton Leithauser, Haley Heynderickx, and Clover on August 2; The Roots, Cory Wong, Glass Beams, Tune-Yards, Tunde Adebimpe, Parlor Greens, and PNW Mic Check on August 23; and more. Orange County metalcore vets Eighteen Visions will link up with fellow OC vets Beyond Repair for a pair of East Coast shows this July, in Cambridge, MA and Rutherford, NJ.
CIRCLE JERKS
Keith Morris will celebrate his 70th birthday in September by playing a big show with his band Circle Jerks, who will be joined by Ceremony, Rocket from the Crypt, and Negative Approach for the occasion.
