Laia Costa (“The Wheel of Time,” Victoria) will star opposite Jack Reynor (Midsommar) in The Mummy from Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin.
The fresh take on the classic monster is due out on April 17, 2026 from Warner Bros.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Cronin previously said, “This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”
The project is the first under the recent Blumhouse-Atomic Monster merger, with the companies producing and co-financing for New Line Cinema. James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville are producing alongside Cronin under his Doppelgängers banner.
David Garbett (Evil Dead Rise, “Ash vs Evil Dead”) serves as director of photography.
Production kicked off yesterday in Ireland. More casting announcements are expected soon.
