Ryan Coogler Hopes to Work With Denzel Washington in BLACK PANTHER 3 - "As Long as He's Interested, It's Going to Happen"
Last November, Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington revealed in an interview that he had a role being written for him in the upcoming Black Panther III. It was an obvious slip, which I’m sure wasn’t the way Marvel planned to have this announced, but Washington let the cast out of the bag, and didn’t seem too worried about it. Since then, we’ve only really heard Marvel producer Nate Moore talk about the casting a couple of months ago, when he said they were working on who his character would be. Now, the Black Panther trilogy director, Ryan Coogler is speaking about Washington joining the ensemble, telling the hosts of the Nightcap podcast: “I’m dying to work with Denzel and I’m hoping we can make that happen. I got every intention of working with him in that movie and as long as he’s interested — it’s going to happen.”Coogler praised Washington, calling him a “living legend and a great mentor,” adding, “He’s all about looking out for us.” After Sharpe asked the filmmaker how long we had to wait for Black Panther 3, Coogler said, “Not long.”I am looking forward to seeing who Denzel Washington will play.
