Marvel Unveils “The New Avengers” Branding

Marvel Studios seems to be actively spoiling their own film.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR “THUNDERBOLTS*”

While the studio answered the mystery behind the asterisk on the “Thunderbolts*” title within the film itself, they’ve now officially given that mystery away to the public at large.

The studio used social media to announce that the real title of the film is “The New Avengers”. The reveal includes an updated poster with the new title, which has not only been released online but is being reflected on marketing materials.

Outdoor billboards, cinema standees and more are all being updated to reflect the New Avengers branding, one photo is up here of a building size outdoor ad being updated.

Six of the key cast are joining “Avengers: Doomsday” which is currently in production in the UK. These include Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent/John Walker, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Lewis Pullman’s Bob/Sentry, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian and Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ava Starr/Ghost.

Meanwhile blurry art of Steven Yeun as Sentry has emerged online, while director Jake Schreier confirms to Variety that the Russo brothers helmed the post-credits scene which was shot just a few weeks ago.
