Gory Horror-Comedy ‘Corporate Retreat’ Finds Its Star in Lilly Krug

A team-bonding experience turns deadly in horror-thriller Corporate Retreat from White Noise producer Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures. Deadline reports today that the feature has found its lead in Shattered actor Lilly Krug.

It’s Singer’s description of the film that has us intrigued. The producer told Deadline, “We see Corporate Retreat as a chilling takedown of corporate culture that blends horror and social satire – it’s a gory mix of The Menu and Saw.”

Production is set to begin this June on the feature written and directed by Aaron Fisher (Inside the Rain). Kerri Lee Romeo co-wrote the script.

Corporate Retreat follows “a group of corporate executives from a rising tech company attending a company retreat at a remote desert mansion. The team-bonding trip turns into a blood-soaked competition when the group is trapped in a sadistic game of survival.”

Fisher describes his film as “an exploration of resilience in the face of a hierarchy that cares nothing at all for your wellbeing.”

While the upcoming horror movie may not be the first to satirize the cutthroat nature of the corporate world- see Severance or Corporate Animals as examples- it’s a topic fertile for exploration. Especially of the gory variety.
