Confidence Man lit up Webster Hall (pics, setlist)
The saucy Australian dancepop duo had the party starting early with choreography, costume changes and more…

Australian dance music group Confidence Man found themselves very much at home at Webster Hall on Saturday night when their North American tour hit NYC. Though their new album, 3AM (LA LA LA), is about partying all night long, this was an early Saturday show with a curfew. The impeccably choreographed Janet Planet and Sugar Bones took to the stage just before 9 PM and hit their mark from the get go in the first of three outfit changes throughout the set.
The tongue-in-cheek performance began in black silhouette against a red light, with Sugar Bones in a black jacket and pants with Janet Planet in a black dress and thigh high socks. Up next: their signature all-white outfits with LED accents (including Janet’s conical bra) as they flipped and high-kicked through punchy 90’s-inspired rave tunes, including lots from 3AM (LA LA LA), plus older songs like “C.O.O.L. Party” and “Holiday.” As the show grew toward a finale, and the third costume change, the choreography took a number of acrobatic turns with Bones carrying Planet on his shoulders as she greeted the crowd.
