Elizabeth Olsen, Krysten Ritter On Marvel Future

Actress Elizabeth Olsen says she’s not going to be a part of Joe and Anthony Russo’s “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” films at Marvel Studios, the first of which is about to begin shooting.

The back-to-back productions are gearing up to shoot in London soon, just as the actress is leaving the UK after filming Sam Esmail’s “Panic Carefully”. She’s confirmed to THR yesterday that up next for her to shoot is a pilot for FX titled “Seven Sisters” which reunites her with filmmaker Sean Durkin (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”). That is being filmed in the US.

The comments come as rumors continue to swirl around the next “Avengers” films with DanielRPK reporting that Marvel chief Kevin Feige will be more “hands-on than ever” with ‘Doomsday’.

The reason? They claim: “Feige has concerns about the Russos directing the next two Avengers films. However, at this stage replacing them isn’t an option, so he plans to closely oversee the projects, ensuring the script is just right and everything stays on track.”

Meanwhile, one person who would be very happy to return to Marvel is “Jessica Jones” actress Krysten Ritter. Momentum continues to gather to get the actress back in the role, and now the actress herself has responded to the talk appearing on CBS this morning:

“Listen, I love Jessica Jones. I think it’s so exciting that there seems to be such an appetite to see her again. I get asked about it almost everyday. We remain cautiously optimistic… If they asked me, I would be there ready,” Ritter added. “I may or may not have the jacket that I stole from set.”

Ritter has previously avoided weighing in on a possible return in “Daredevil: Born Again,” which would seem the most likely avenue to reintroduce her character. The actress is currently shooting “Dexter: Resurrection”.
