Watch Viagra Boys’ zombified “The Bog Body” video
New album ‘viagr aboys’ is out April 25

Music videos aren’t what they used to be in the ’80s/’90s/’00s heyday, but Viagra Boys consistently deliver stylish, innovative, smart, funny and occasionally disturbing ones, dating all the way back to “Sports.” They’ve just shared the video for “The Bog Body,” which was directed by Eoin Glaister and is zombie-themed. One zombie, specifically, a decomposed woman who claws her way out of the bog and into a pub where frontman Sebastian Murphy is bartending. She puts on “The Bog Body” and starts to dance and from there starts hanging out with and taking over the band.
“I love bog bodies,” says Glaister. “I’m obsessed. Thank GOD someone finally wrote a song about one. Dream gig really, got to spend the day in the pub with my mates watching a Bog Lady dance to one of my favourite bands. Mammoth effort from an extraordinarily talented bunch. Up the Bog!”
The video has a lot of fun with behind-the-music cliches and zombie movie tropes and you can watch that below.
“The Bog Body” is from Viagra Boys’ forthcoming album viagr aboys, which is out April 25 via their own Shrimptech Industries label. The band will play Coachella in April and return to North America this fall, including an NYC show at Brooklyn Mirage on September 25. All dates are listed below.
In related news, Sebastian Murphy was interviewed by The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins for a very special episode of “Justin Hawkins Rides Again,” and you can watch that below.
