Playboi Carti has shared four additional tracks as part of a new deluxe version of his latest album, ‘Music’.
Released last night (March 25), the rapper shared a new expanded version of the massive ‘Music’ album, now titled ‘Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait’. The expanded version includes four additional track, bringing the tracklist to a whopping 34 songs.
However, though ‘Sorry 4 Da Wait’ boasts the four bonus tracks, they’re not entirely new. ‘Different Day’, ‘2024’, ‘Backr00ms’ and ‘FOMDJ’ have all be released in various iterations of his recent release, but this marks the first time they’re being made available widely and in one neat package.
‘Different Day’ was released for the first time in December 2023, and coincidentally marked his first solo release since his 2020 record ‘Whole Lotta Red’. It also appeared on ‘Music – V1’, one of the three digital download versions of the album that was for sale on the rapper’s website.
‘2024’ also dropped in 2023, while ‘Backr00ms’ with Travis Scott arrived early last year – both songs officially appeared on ‘Music – V2’. Finally, Playboi Carti teased ‘FOMDJ’ during a handful of live performances in 2024, but did not officially release it until it was included on ‘Music – V3’.
In a four-star review of ‘Music’, NME‘s Kyann-Sian Williams wrote: “For nearly a decade, Carti’s been a step ahead, dragging rap into the future and leaving everyone else scrambling to catch up. From underground hero to untouchable force, Playboi Carti cements his spot as rap’s feral frontrunner.”

Earlier this month (March 16), the Atlanta trap star headlined the final day of this year’s Rolling Loud California. Carti took over the main stage for nearly two hours, performing his new album in its entirety for the first time – The Weeknd joined him onstage for a portion of the performance.
Since the release of ‘Music’, Kanye West has been going after Playboi Carti on social media, threatening to “end” the latter’s career for leaving ‘Different Day’ – which West produced – off the main record.
