Watch blink-182 reunite with Matt Skiba at LA wildfire relief benefit

blink-182 headlined an LA wildfire relief benefit at Hollywood Palladium last night (2/13) and the opening band was Alkaline Trio, which led a lot of us to wonder if they would reunite on stage with Matt Skiba, who joined the band in Tom’s absence after Tom left in 2015. And that did in fact happen: Mark, Tom, Travis, and Matt Skiba were all on stage together for “Bored to Death,” the band’s Billboard Alternative Songs-topping first single with Skiba that’s remained a staple of blink’s live sets even since Tom returned. They looked and sounded pretty awesome together, and needless to say, it’s a treat to hear Tom, Mark, and Matt all singing together–something that’s never happened in blink-182 history until last night. Also: blink-182 with two guitarists? Pretty cool!

“Bored to Death” was part of a 22-song, career-spanning set that ranged from “M+M’s” up through seven songs from 2023’s One More Time, with plenty of hits as well as slightly deeper cuts like “Wendy Clear” and “Violence.” As he’s known to do, Mark sang part of a pop song during “Dammit,” and this time he opted for Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”

Alkaline Trio also played a career-spanning set with faves like “Time to Waste,” “Armageddon,” “Mercy Me,” “Private Eye,” and more. Watch videos of “Bored to Death” and other songs from throughout the night, and check out both bands’ setlists below.
