The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
“The Walking Dead” TV universe’s Chief Content Officer (CCO) Scott M. Gimple says that “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” remains a limited series for now, with no plans for a second season at present.
However, he has left the door open for Rick Grimes and Michonne to return: “I’ve been very careful to not say, ‘Oh, that’ll never happen,’ because it does. So, you know, there are possibilities.” [Source: The Direct]
Paradise
Dan Fogelman’s political thriller series “Paradise” starring Sterling K. Brown wrapped airing its first season earlier this week and creator Fogelman has confirmed that scripts for the second season are done with production to commence in about a month ahead of a hopeful early 2026 airing. Previously it was indicated he had laid out a three-season plan for the show and the intention is to stick to it. [Source: Deadline]
Government Cheese
Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for its David Oyelowo-led ten-episode surrealist family comedy series “Government Cheese”. Set in 1969 San Fernando Valley, Oyelowo plays an ex-con turned inventor with a drill that “self-sharpens as it works” even as he tries to re-establish ties with his estranged family.
Bokeem Woodbine, Jeremy Bobb, Louis Cancelmi, John Ortiz and Adam Beach co-star in the series and the first four episodes will premiere on April 16th with a new episode weekly through May 28th.
Pulse
Netflix has released the trailer for its first original English-language medical procedural drama “Pulse” which debuts April 3rd. The series is created and executive produced by Zoe Robyn who serves as the showrunner alongside Carlton Cuse.
As a hurricane barrels towards Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center, third-year resident Dr. Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) is unexpectedly thrust into a promotion when beloved Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell) is suspended.
As the hospital goes into lockdown, Danny and Phillips must find a way to work together – even as the bombshell details of a complicated and illicit romance between them begin to spill out. Justina Machado, Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, and Chelsea Muirhead co-star.
