Supper Club Returns to Hong Kong for Art Week

Last spring, THE SHOPHOUSE debuted its first Supper Club at the Fringe Club, which functioned as a week-long hybrid art fair and community hub for contemporary art lovers. This year, Supper Club will make its return during Hong Kong’s art week to showcase another thoughtfully curated selection of works from an array of contemporary artists and galleries from around the world. While the inaugural edition in 2024 was held at the Fringe Club - a Grade 1 heritage building that dates back to the Victorian period -  the second edition is supported by Venue Sponsor, H Queen's and Lead Event and Programme Partner, HART Collective Limited, further enriching the event's collaborative spirit. One of the spotlighted items on the program is Katerina Lukina’s solo presentation, Let His Eyes Open Like a Frog’s. Presented by THE SHOPHOUSE, this presentation will showcase Lukina’s exploration of vision, transformation and mythology through her multidisciplinary artistic practices. Alongside Lukina, special projects by LA and Shenzen-based artist, Shuo Phoebe Li as well as Hong Kong-based visual artist, fabricator and mechanical designer, Tung Wing Hong will also be on view.On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Hong Kong artist Liao Jiaming will present WYSIWYG, a participatory "transformational ceremony" in which performers alter and "edit" their bodies to challenge concepts of beauty, power and vision. The following day, Shuo Phoebe Li will showcase “Nurturer or Nourished”, a performance exploring her self-soothing habit of tangling her hair during sleepless nights.Supper Club will take place at H Queen’s in Hong Kong from March 24 - 30, 2025.Supper Club9/F & 11/F, H Queen’s,80 Queen’s Road Central, Hong KongClick here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
