Noel Gallagher names his favorite Oasis songs, comments on UK reunion tour ticket controversy
Noel talked to his old Manchester mate, photographer Kevin Cummins, for his new photo boo ‘Oasis: The Masterplan’

Noel and Liam Gallagher have said they will not be doing interviews for Oasis‘ upcoming reunion tour but Noel did talk to his old Manchester mate, photographer Kevin Cummins, for his new book Oasis: The Masterplan.
As NME reports, it’s a new interview and Noel addresses the frustrations fans felt trying to buy/afford tickets for their UK shows. “I thought it’d be a big deal,” Noel told Cummins, “but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.” After the controversy around the UK tour, Oasis made sure to be clear they would not use dynamic pricing for North American dates.
Elsewhere in the interview, Noel was asked about his favorite Oasis songs. “Can I have more than one?,” he asked Cummins and then rattled off “Supersonic,” “Some Might Say,” “Live Forever” and “Rock’n’Roll Star.” Those four songs, all hits in the UK, seem likely to show up on Oasis’ setlists when their tour starts July 4 in Cardiff, Wales.
As for Cummins book, Oasis The Masterplan “tells the story of how Oasis cemented their identity. At the center of this enterprise was Kevin Cummins, who was well aware of the intersection between the visual and the sonic and was brought on board to help the band find a look that fitted their sound. Drawing on the first six months of 1994, we follow Cummins as he photographs the band in various locations such as London, Manchester, and the Netherlands.”
Oasis: The Masterplan features 75% previously unseen images and that new interview with Noel. It’s out April 10 and you can preorder it here.
Oasis’ reunion tour hits the NYC area at NJ’s Metlife Stadium on August 31 and September 1.
