Furnace Fest 2025 lineup: Knocked Loose, Jimmy Eat World, Texas Is The Reason, Converge, Foundation & more

The great Birmingham, Alabama punk, emo, metal, hardcore, metalcore, post-hardcore, etc festival Furnace Fest made a comeback in 2021 (delayed a year due to COVID) after initially running from 2000-2003, and the organizers said 2024 would mark an “end of an era” for the festival but then they fortunately walked that back and decided to move forward with another full, proper edition in 2025. It goes down October 3-5 at its usual home of Birmingham’s Sloss Furnaces, and after gradually rolling out 25 names on the 90-band lineup, the (almost) full thing is now here. Plus, there’s one TBA band on the second line below the headliner on day three. Any guesses?

The headliners include veteran bands Jimmy Eat World on day one and Dropkick Murphys on day two, plus newer band Knocked Loose elevating to headliner status on day three. Outside of the headliners, one of the most exciting names on the lineup is the newly-reunited Texas Is The Reason (who were announced yesterday); and other bands on there range from vets like Suicidal Tendencies, Biohazard, Converge, Hot Water Music, Saves The Day, Comeback Kid (celebrating 20 years of Wake the Dead), Less Than Jake, Say Anything, Anberlin (playing Never Take Friendship Personal, with original vocalist Stephen Christian), Zao (playing Liberate Te Ex Inferis), Terror, Norma Jean (celebrating 20 years of O’ God, the Aftermath), From First to Last, Madball, Modern Life Is War, Ten Yard Fight, HORSE the Band, I Am The Avalanche, Nora, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley’s new band Many Eyes, and more; to comparatively newer bands approaching veteran status like the recently-reunited hardcore bands Foundation and The Mongoloids, as well as Citizen, Harms Way, Knuckle Puck, Microwave, Kublai Khan TX, Rolo Tomassi, Spanish Love Songs, Teen Suicide, and more; to the current generation of bands like Drain, Speed, Glare, Contention, Downward, Secret World, Wounded Touch, Sunami, Common Sage, Initiate, Squint, Trauma Ray, Balmora, Boundaries, Gates To Hell, Gridiron, Gumm, Haywire, Like Roses, Sanguisugabogg, Sincere Engineer, Soul Blind, Spaced, Sweet Pill, and more.

That’s a whole lot of awesome music for a three-day span, and tickets (three-day and single-day) are on sale now.
