Netflix is set to helm the upcoming Monopoly competition series following a "competitive bidding process," as per Variety.The reality show will reportedly stay true to the nature of the board game, and is billed as a “large-scale social-experiment contest” that will see players form their teams as they tread the line of “capitalism and chaos.” Nothing else has been confirmed as of writing and Netflix did not share a comment.Monopoly marks Netflix's latest foray into unscripted IP content after Squid Game: The Challenge and the Willy Wonka-based The Golden Ticket.
