For several weeks, the welcome offer on the Marriott Boundless credit has been for 3x 50K free night certificates. That was sweetened a couple of days ago by the addition of 50K bonus points on top of those three free night certificates.

Quick Thoughts

In the past, the welcome offer on the Boundless card has gone as high as 5x 50K free night certificates. While this latest offer isn’t quite as good as that, it is better than the most recent offer and has the added benefit of coming with both free night certificates and bonus points, rather than just one or the other.

That could be particularly useful for anyone with zero or few Marriott points already. That’s because the 50K free night certificates can be topped up with up to 15K points each to book properties costing up to 65K points per night. The 50K bonus points would therefore ensure you have enough points to top up all three certificates if needed.

Be aware that there are different spending requirements for the two parts of the welcome offer though. To earn the free night certificates, you have to spend $3,000 in the first three months, while to earn the 50K bonus points you have to spend a total of $6,000 in the first six months (i.e. an additional $3,000 of spend with an additional three months in which to spend it).

This offer is available via referrals, so if you already have a Chase Marriott card and want to refer your partner to this card (or vice versa), you’d also earn 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points from the referral which makes this an even better opportunity.
