NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds started their North American tour this week — they played a spectacular Brooklyn show last night — and they’ll be out through mid-May, wrapping things up at the Cruel World Festival on 5/17. All dates are here.
PUNK IN THE PARK
Punk in the Park happens September 27 at Palladium Outdoors in Worcester, MA. Bad Religion and Pennywise headline and also playing are Propagandhi, Face to Face, Comeback Kid, Adolescents, Guttermouth, Dwarves, Poli Van Dam, The Rins, and more.
THE FEST
Gainesville punk festival The Fest returns from October 24-26, and the initial lineup is here, with Propagandhi, Dillinger Four, Coalesce, Pool Kids, Shelter, Good Luck, and more.
THE STORY SO FAR
Pop punk true believers The Story So Far announced fall North American tour dates with Neck Deep, Origami Angel, and Pain of Truth.
MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL
Montreaux Jazz Festival, which takes place all summer long on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, has announced its 2025 lineup, which includes Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts, FKA twigs / Jamie xx, Pulp / Bloc Party, Beth Gibbons, Diana Ross, Max Richter / Arooj Aftab, The Black Keys, Santana, Alanis Morissette, and more.
MATMOS
Experimental duo Matmos will be on tour this year for their upcoming “metal” album.
JON SPENCER
Jon Spencer, backed by a couple members of The Bobby Lees, will be ripping it up this summer.
SOCIAL DISTORTION
Punk greats Social Distortion will be on tour this summer, with stops including Portland, Bakersfield, Fargo, St Louis, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and more.
SWING KIDS
Justin Pearson’s band Swing Kids abruptly broke up in 1997 after guitarist Eric Allen (also of Unbroken) took his own life, but surviving members recently regrouped (including late-period member Jimmy LaValle, now best known as The Album Leaf) with an updated lineup and shows.
IMMIGRANT DEFENSE PROJECT BENEFIT
Palehound, The Ophelias, and Grumpy are playing a benefit for the Immigrant Defense Project at Baby’s All Right on May 27.
NALA SINEPHRO
Ambient jazz artist Nala Sinephro is playing the C2C Festival at NYC’s Knockdown Center on May 9, and ahead of that will do a show of her own St. Ann & The Holy Trinity on May 8 where she’ll perform Endlessness live.
